Our Design Process

The creation of the shell frame begins and ends with us. This way, we are able to assure that the quality of each element of the design is of the highest standards. All of our custom mirror frames are made from hard wood and built to the dimensions decided upon by the client. Then, the frame is routered to create an inlay for the glass mirror to be placed and installed.

We work with an excellent local glass and mirror vendor that has earned our trust over the years! We use the best quality quarter inch thick glass mirrors, which are custom cut to the perfect size for each project.

All mirrors will arrive with mounting hardware pre-installed for you. You'll receive the wall bracket to be stud-mounted where you will be hanging it. Instructions are included, but if you have any questions we're always available to help!

Any size is possible!! Feel free to send me measurements and/or pictures of your space and we can work together on what sizing options would work best for you. Keep in mind that the width of the frame is also customizable. If you would like a wider area of seashells, we can surely do that! The common width of shell mirrors you will find in the shell mirror gallery is three and four inches. 

The color scheme, type of shells, and accents are also up to you! You can have as much or as little to do with the creation of your frame as you'd like. Popular shell color choices include cream/beige and white or grey and white. Some clients will send pictures of the space that the piece will be going in, or pictures of some other decor. Please feel free to do this! We can work together to create something absolutely beautiful that you will admire forever. 

Other options in regard to accents that you'll see in some of our shell designs include pearls, sea glass, knobby starfish, white sanddollars, and sea urchins which can come naturally in light pink or light green varieties. This list is surely not all-inclusive, and I am always open to explore clients ideas of new design ideas!
